C. OLD BUSINESS
Finalization of the Boundaries of the Critical Rural Zoning District – At this time, the Committee reviewed Mr. Moore’s delineation of the Critical Rural Zoning District which was drafted to fulfill a request by the Code Enforcement Officer. It was determined that the boundaries should only contain what is indicated in the Zoning Map adopted at the 2008 Annual Town Meeting and not anything that is being proposed for the 2010 Annual Town Meeting. The review was conducted by comparing the written boundaries to the 2008 Zoning Map.
Mr. Cashin advised the revisions to the 2008 Zoning Map will be a separate Warrant Article for the 2010 Annual Town Meeting and not part of the Article for the proposed revisions to the Zoning Ordinance.
D. NEW BUSINESS
1. Scheduling Public Hearing – After a review of the calendar and State’s requisite publishing and posting times, the public hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at 7:00 PM.
2. Discussion Regarding the Proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendments – The Committee decided 25 copies of the colored document which delineates the State’s Shoreland Zoning revisions and the Committee’s revisions should be sufficient and 50 copies of the entire proposed Ordinance should be printed for the public to review prior to the public hearing
E. OTHER BUSINESS
1. Request for Payment – Mr. Cashin signed the Request for Payment for the 50 colored copies which the secretary will submit to the Town Treasurer. These copies will be made at Staples due to the lack of a colored photocopier in the Town Offices.
2. Schedule of Meetings – It was decided to meet on April 7 and 14, 2010, to go over anything that may be required for the public hearing on April 21, 2010.
The Committee asked the secretary to speak with SMRPC about having the final revised Zoning Ordinance ready for printing in time to distribute them to the group and have them available in plenty of time for the public hearing.
It was noted SMRPC provided the group with copies of the revised Zoning Maps which will be used for the public hearing.
F. ADJOURNMENT
The Meeting was adjourned at 8:10 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
ANNA M. WILLIAMS,
Recording Secretary
