SELECTMEN’S MEETING

January 2, 2007

At the request of Selectman Tony Cogliandro, a moment of silence was observed in remembrance and respect of our late President, Gerald Ford.

 

1. PUBLIC FORUM:

Dennis also asked about his request for a written apology from the selectmen relative to the 11/21/06 meeting. Nancy had announced publicly that she would consider it, and he has not received it. Nancy said that they had considered it but neither she nor Tony had done anything to apologize for. Jim was expressing his personal opinion, not the opinion of the board. She cannot make him do something if he doesn’t want to. Dennis said it should not have been allowed in a selectmen’s meeting. Nancy replied that she did try to call for order with her gavel.

 

Jeremy asked if the manual being put together on existing policies and ordinances would be available for public use. Nancy said it will be available for the public to look at.

Jeremy asked about progress on the Canal Road Bridge and Nancy related information furnished by David Cote last week.

 Dennis Long, Brian Long, Dennis Long III, Percival Lowell, David Cote, Jeremy Long, Lorraine Yeaton.Nancy Ruma, Tony Cogliandro Adjourned at 7:30 pm APPOINTMENT OF PLANNING BOARD ALTERNATE: Abe Damuth has resigned from the Planning Board because of lack of time to devote to the board. The board has endorsed Keith Davis as a replacement. On a motion by Tony, Keith was appointed. Tony reported that the attorneys have been having active dialog.Rod will be in the office on Friday. Very few abatement requests have been received at this time.Approved and signed. Approved as written.Approved as written..Dennis Long asked where the block grant shows up in the roads budget. Nancy said that when the audit on last years finances are completed the appropriation adjustments will be posted.
