4.      OLD BUSINESS:

(a)   Cable Committee Update: Carol reported that the station was off the air over the weekend due to a cable problem, and not related in any way to our studio.

(b)   Road Committee Recommendation: Relative to the recommendation that the Town maintain Buzzell Road, Tony said he believes that the road committee has proved to his satisfaction that the lower end of Buzzell Roadis a town way. He read a letter from Ron Crawford giving permission for the Town to turn around at his pit on Lakeside Drive. Larissa feels that this should go to the Town meeting to be voted on. Dennis agrees that the committee has proven it is a Town way and made a motion to plow Buzzell Road and turn around at Crawford’s pit. The vote was passed with Tony and Dennis voting in the affirmative and Larissa voting in opposition.

5. NEW BUSINESS:

1. DISCUSS HEAT PROBLEMS: Larissa stated the Town Clerk’s office is cold while the selectmen’s office is too warm. She suggested a programmable thermostat for $59.82, and to keep all doors closed. Dennis said the system needs to be redesigned but there is no money at the present time to do it. The thermostat may be moved up nearer the clerk’s office. Larissa stated that because the clerk doesn’t feel comfortable with her door closed, a door with a window at the top could be purchased.

2. TOM CASHIN: Tom said Jamie at SMRPC understood Lorraine to tell her that the selectmen were not going to put any of the changes made by the Comp Plan Committee onto the June warrant.  Lorraine said this was a misunderstanding on Jamie’s part. What Lorraine told Jamie was that the selectmen have stated they want to see a list of what warrant articles in Shoreland Zoning are mandated by the State and what ones have been added to by the committee, before they will put the articles on the warrant.

Karl Hodgdon asked about salted sand at the Transfer Station, noting there was none last week. Selectmen asked Lorraine to contact Scott to get some delivered.

6. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Larissa announced there will be free Yoga classes in the Town Hall beginning January 12, aimed at senior citizens but open to anyone. Anyone interested should see Larissa or Lorraine.
