TOWN OF ACTON

1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Approved as written.

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF LAST MEETING: Approved as written.

3. OLD BUSINESS: None

4. NEW BUSINESS:


1. CARL DAVIS RE: HOBBS PROPERTY: Carl presented a letter to the Selectmen requesting the Town grant property tax exemption to Three Rivers Land Trust for the 179 acres of land formerly part of the Hobbs Family Farm. It has been given to them by former owner Christine Arnold. Selectmen will review the exemption law with Maine Revenue Service and the Assessing Firm of John O’Donnell and get back to them.


2. SIGN QUIT CLAIM DEED FOR SANDRA RYAN: On a motion by Larissa it was voted to sign the Quit Claim Deed for property on 67 Middle Road that the Town had foreclosed on and that has been repurchased by the former owner.


3. PACE ORDINANCE: PACE is a revolving loan program seeded by a grant and administered by Efficiency Maine. In order for residents of the town to obtain a PACE loan the town must have passed a PACE Ordinance. Efficiency Maine will administer the program with no financial obligation to the Town. Selectmen are considering putting the Ordinance on the June 2012 Warrant.


4. ABATEMENT: Helen and Robert Gosselin. $131.40. On a motion by Larissa the abatement was signed.


5. OTHER BUSINESS: None


6. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Still need volunteers for Cable Committee, and 1 alternate members of Board of Assessment Review

Larissa noted the next Tumble Time for Toddlers will be February 16 at 10am. One half hour exercise and one half hour story time.

Larissa discussed the commodity food plan at the shelter and noted that applications may be obtained from Lorraine. Larissa is willing to deliver food for anyone wishing to sign up.
