SALUTE TO THE FLAG

 

1.  APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Approved as written.

2.  APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF LAST MEETING: Approved as written.  

3. OLD BUSINESS: None.

 

4. NEW BUSINESS:      

     

1. MASS GATHERING PERMIT: On a motion by Larissa, a Mass Gathering Permit was approved and signed and the fee waived, for the Sanford Lions Club to hold a non-profit sale at the Acton Fairgrounds on June 9, 2012        

2. LETTER TO WAKEFIELD  FOR BRIDGE: On a motion by Larissa, a letter to the Wakefield Heritage Commission was signed, stating that Acton Selectmen  are in favor of the Newichawannock Bridge (Canal Bridge) placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

3. MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS ON WARRANT ARTICLES:  On motions by Larissa, all articles on the June 12, 2012 Warrant were voted “ought to pass” with the exception of Article 33, which was recommended to raise and appropriate $61,392, removing the $6,383 for the Sanford/Acton/Shapleigh Dams.

 5. OTHER BUSINESS:  None

 6. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Public Hearing for renewal of Liquor License for The Shed on May 17,

 

The OWLS will be taking a train ride with a catered turkey dinner along side of Lake Winnipesauke on June 13. Tickets are $44 and available for the public to attend.  The Municipal Office will be closed May 24.
