SALUTE TO THE FLAG

1.  APPROVAL OF AGENDA:  Approved as written.

2.  APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF LAST MEETING:  Approved as written.

3.  OLD BUSINESS: None

4. NEW BUSINESS:

a. Rescind Purchasing Policy: On a motion by Bill, the existing purchasing policy was rescinded.

b. Decision on Shed appeal: The recommended decision of the Liquor Licensing Hearing Officer was to uphold the Shed’s appeal. On a motion by Bill, it was voted to notify the Town’s attorney that the Town will not appeal the decision.

c. Floor at the Gym: The floor in the exercise room was floating due to flooding as the result of the recent snow and rain. The insurance adjustor came the same day as the damage was reported, (Tuesday, December 18) and Service Pro came the next day and sucked up the water and put heaters and blowers in place. The gym will be closed until further notice.

d. Application for gym membership:  Some changes have been made in the application for Gym membership, as requested by the Town’s insurance carrier. On a motion by Bill, the new membership applications were approved.

e. Fire Truck Contract: The Town’s attorney requested some changes, which have been made in the Fire Truck Contract. On a motion by Bill, Ted Kryzak was authorized to sign for the Town of Acton.

5. OTHER BUSINESS: None

6. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Three vacancies on Mary Grant Committee, one Road Committee member, 1 member and 1 Alternate member of Saco River Corridor Commission, 2 Alternate Warrant and Finance Committee members.

57 notices for pending foreclosure were sent out to property owners. To date, there are now 39 foreclosures for $71,969.51. The Town Clerk will be open January 28 from to for the sole purpose of receiving payments.

A reception for the new Acton-Shapleigh Sheriff will be held on January 10 from to , with light refreshments. The public is invited to stop by and meet Sheriff Daniel Shaw.
