TOWN OF ACTON

SELECTMEN'S MEETING

DECEMBER 18, 2007

PUBLIC FORUM: Dennis Long said that when he plowed Lakeside Drive he noted that Buzzell Road was not plowed. Mike said he received 4 calls so he checked with Mooney and found that Mooney had truck problems and was out of commission for a period of time.

John Moore complained that he had come to the meeting that was scheduled for Thursday night only to find it was canceled. Nancy said that the auditor did not cancel until 5 pm and that gave them very little time to get the word out. Jennifer did call it in to the TV station. Several persons complained about not knowing that they held the meeting on Monday. Nancy said this date was set by the auditor and they did have it posted in all the usual places. Pam McAlinden suggested the Town get a lighted sign board similar to the one at the Public Safety Building.

Dennis asked again about the progress being made on the drug testing program.  There was considerable discussion and Nancy said she will check the law and Vicki will check the cost of having all employees tested.

Dick Neal presented a copy of Mike Conway's property card showing that notes documenting the changes made were on record.
