SELECTMEN'S MEETING

DECEMBER 27,  2007

PUBLIC FORUM:  Dennis Long thanked Nancy for taking care of getting the upper end of Buzzell Road plowed.

Pat Hannon said he had sent an email to Nancy about the fact that Selectman Conway has confronted the Town Clerk with claims about errors in accepting questions from Hannon's son on Candidate's Night. He also claims that Conway is attempting to derail his candidacy.  He feels that Nancy, as chairman should be taking control of the situation. Mike said he had never made claims of errors by the Town Clerk, he was not publicly backing any candidate, nor was he involved in any way with Candidate's Night.

Cindy Hart has requested a meeting with the Road Advisory Committee to discuss possible modification of some standards in the Road Ordinance. Lorraine was asked to set up a meeting the second week in January, possibly the 8^th.

Hannon asked what action Selectmen have taken relative to the assessing problems. Nancy said they have reviewed the auditor's recommendations but she wants to wait until the new selectman is elected before making any decisions.

2.      APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF LAST MEETING: Approved as written.

3.      WARRANT: Approved and signed.

4.      OLD BUSINESS

      a. ASSESSING: Rod will be in on Friday.

      b. CABLE CONTRACT: No action.

5. NEW BUSINESS

Next week's selectman's meeting will be on Wednesday, January 2 at 10am.

Jim reported that he has signed the employee evaluation sheets and that they need to be filed by December 31.

Jennifer asked if selectmen were going to bid for the Town Report printing. Jim said he has discussed it with Walsh and their price is still good.
