1.        APPROVAL OF AGENDA:  Bill Shields made a motion to approve the agenda; seconded by Ed Walsh, all in favor, motion carried.

2.         APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF LAST MEETING:  Bill Shields made a motion to approve the minutes from May 28, 2015; seconded by Ed Walsh, all in favor, motion carried.

3.         OLD BUSINESS:

a.         Election Results

Selectmen, Assessor, Overseer of the Poor - 3 Year Term – Vote for 1:  152 Johathan Morse, 174 Ed Walsh, 37 Miscellaneous Write-Ins / Blanks.  Ed Walsh was elected.

Road Commissioner, District 2 - 3 Year Term – Vote for 1:  262 David Winchell Jr., 76  Patrick Stevens (Write-In Candidate), 25 Miscellaneous Write-Ins / Blanks.  David Winchell, Jr. was elected.

School Committee Members 3 Year Term - Vote for 2:   248 Kevin Perks, 193 Mary Stanton, 56 Amanda Cobb (Write-In Candidate), 229 Miscellaneous Write-Ins/Blanks.  Kevin Perks and Mary Stanton were elected.

Question 1 - Shall the following amendment to the definition of "Resource Protection District" in the Town of Acton Zoning Ordinance, proposed by the Board of Selectmen on 03/12/2015, be enacted?  Yes 157, No 176, Blank 30.  Question 1 Failed.

Question 2 - Shall the following amendment to the Town of Acton Zoning Ordinance, proposed by the Board of Selectmen on 03/12/2015, be enacted?  Yes 166, No 164, Blank 33.  Question 2 Passed.

Question 3 - Shall the following amendment to the Town of Acton Zoning Ordinance, proposed by the Planning Board on 01/15/2015, be enacted?  Yes 168, No 166, Blank 29.  Question 3 Passed.

Question 4 - Shall the Town vote to accept the transfer of all assets of the Acton Ambulance Association to the Town, and provide ambulance services with firefighting services under one municipal department subject to a 2015-2016 budget being appropriated at Town Meeting on June 13, 2015?  Yes 239, No 108, Blank 16.  Question 4 Passed.

b.         Annual Town Meeting - Town Hall Closed

To be held Saturday, June 13, 2015 at the Acton School.

4.         NEW BUSINESS:

 

a.         Fire Chief Bill Shields moved to appoint Peter Smith as Fire Chief until June 30, 2016; seconded by Ed Walsh, all in favor, motion carried.

 

b.         Animal Control Officer Ted Kryzak moved to appoint Michael Roux, Sr. as Animal Control Officer until June 30, 2016; seconded by Bill Shields, all in favor, motion carried. 

c.         Code Enforcement Officer/Local Plumbing Inspector Ted Kryzak moved to appoint Kenneth Paul as Code Enforcement Officer/Local Plumbing Inspector until June 30, 2016; seconded by Ed Walsh, all in favor, motion carried. 

d.         Treasurer Ted Kryzak moved to appoint Michelle Rumney as Treasurer until June 30, 2018; seconded by Bill Shields, all in favor, motion carried. 

e.         Town Clerk/Tax Collector  Bill Shields moved to appoint Jennifer Roux as Town Clerk/Tax Collector until June 30, 2018; seconded by Ed Walsh, all in favor, motion carried.                       

f.          Animal Welfare Society Agreement           

Ed Walsh moved to approve the contract of $3418.46 per year; seconded by Bill Shields, all in favor, motion carried.       

5.         OTHER BUSINESS: Ed Walsh thanked the voters for coming out Tuesday and for re-electing him.  Ed asked residents to come to the Town Meeting on June 13^th.                    

6.         ANNOUCEMENTS:  None.
