SELECTMEN'S MEETING

June 3, 2008

1.      APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Approved with the addition of 5.(B,C, D)

2.      APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF LAST MEETING: Approved as written.

3.      WARRANT: Approved and signed.

4.      OLD BUSINESS

a. ASSESSING: Brent is in the office entering building permit values. Selectmen need to discuss interviews for assessing agents.

      b. AUDITOR: Ron Smith will be in the office on 12th and 13th. He will bring new contract with him.

5.   NEW BUSINESS:

      (A) SIGN SCHOOL WARRANT: On a motion by Mike the warrant was signed.

      (B) ANIMAL WELFARE: On a motion by Mike selectmen signed a contract with The Animal    Welfare Society, to provide services for the Town for one year at a cost of $2,531.10.

      (C) ABATEMENT: On a motion by Mike, a tax abatement for Richard Neal was signed.  The     Assessing Agent went to Neal's home and corrected errors in measurements, and corrected the   assessment. Mike wanted this action taken in public to avoid what happened before.

      (D) ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER: Dick reported that Frank Shippee had contacted him and asked for a $500 increase in Salary because the State may discontinue the April Dog Warrant and   Fee. Dick explained to him that it is too late because the budget has already gone to be printed and cannot be increased.

6.   ADJOURNMENT: Adjourned at 7:40 pm
