SELECTMEN’S MEETING

December 27, 2018

1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA:

Selectmen Ed Walsh, Selectmen Elise Miller, Selectmen Kimberly Stacey-Horn and Town Administrator Jennifer Roux.

2. MINUTES OF LAST MEETING:

4. OLD BUSINESS:

5. NEW BUSINESS:

A. Resignation

Selectmen Walsh read the resignation presented to the Board from Scott Mooney.

Selectmen Miller made a motion to accept Mr. Scott Mooney's Resignation with regrets; Selectmen Kimberly Stacey-Horn seconded with regrets. Discussion ensued (not regarding Mr. Mooney's reasons for his resignation) stating that Department of Labor policies have changed since 2003 but the Board has tried to keep current but have not changed policies already standing.

All in Favor. Resignation accepted with regrets.

B. Appointment

The Town Administrator commented that even though Mr. Mooney's resignation was accepted with regret, the Town appreciates his hard work and effort over the years and thank him for his work. Mrs. Roux reached out once again to Mr. Langley to step in to cover Mr. Mooney's position in the interim. He responded that he will do everything he can do to help. Mr. Letourneau also responded that he will help wherever he can. With the Board's approval, Mrs. Roux recommended that the Board sign the appointment.

Selectmen Walsh read appointment out for Mr. David Langley to be Interim District 1 Road Commissioner until January 15, 2019.

Selectmen Miller made a motion to appoint Mr. David Langley to be the Interim District 1 Road Commissioner until January 15, 2019; Selectmen Kimberly Stacey-Horne seconded. All in favor. Motion passed.

The Town Administrator reported to the Board that all necessary work was put into place for Mr. Langley and his crew to start immediately if weather required it. The Selectmen thanked all for stepping up to help out and fill in.

The Town Administrator will set up a Board of Selectmen Workshop with Warrant & Finance to discuss some of the thoughts and ideas surrounding policy changes; a round table discussion with the Road Committee also involved. Meeting will be scheduled for January 7, 2019.
