SELECTMEN'S MEETING

 

OCTOBER 9, 2008

 

            1. SALUTE TO THE AMERICAN FLAG

 

2. APROVAL OF AGENDA: Approved as written.

 

3. APROVAL OF MINUTES OF LAST MEETING: Approved as written.

 

4. WARRANT: Approved and signed.

 

5. OLD BUSINESS:

 

a)      ASSESSING: Selectmen will meet with assessing agent on October 16 at 5:30 pm.

 

 

6.  NEW BUSINESS:

 

            (A) OPEN WINTER SAND BIDS: The following bids were received:

 

                                    Turk                $5.75 per yard

 

                                    Pepin               $5.00 per yard

 

                                    Eastern           $9.00 per yard

 

            On a motion by Tony, it was voted to award the bid to Pepin upon receipt of a signed contract.

 

            (B)  MAXIMUM  G.A. ORDINANCE APPENDICES  HEARING AND ADOPTION: A hearing for the General Assistance Ordinance was opened and the ordinance discussed. The hearing was then closed and on a motion by Mike, the ordinance was adopted and signed.

 

Nancy asked Lorraine to send all department heads a notice that reports for the annual report are due by November 8.

STAFF MEETING 8 AM OCTOBER 10

 

Allison McCrady – ECO-Maine  would like to make a presentation to selectmen re:single stream recycling on October 30 at Selectmen's meeting with Steve Ledoux present.
