SELECTMEN'S MEETING

 

DECEMBER 23, 2008

 

            1. SALUTE TO THE AMERICAN FLAG

 

2. APROVAL OF AGENDA: Approved as written.

 

3. APROVAL OF MINUTES OF LAST MEETING: Approved as written.

 

4. WARRANT: Approved and signed.

 

5. OLD BUSINESS:        

 

(a) ASSESSING: Joe Lessard is scheduled to be in the office on January 26, 2008

 

6.  NEW BUSINESS:

 

            (A) Appoint Interim Treasurer: On a motion by Tony, Cheri Smith was appointed as Interim Treasurer until February 3, 2009 . Voted 2 yes, Nancy and Tony. Michael Conway abstained from voting because he serves with Cheri's husband on the Fire Department. Selectmen will plan to meet in executive session next week to discuss salary, etc.

 

 

            (B) Potting Shed /Willy's request to keep open until 2 am  New Years Eve: On a motion by Tony, permission was granted.

 

 

            (C)  Ad for hiring treasurer: Tabled until next week.

 

 

 

            (D)  Notice re: Parking Ban , Mailboxes: Lorraine will put notices in the Smart Shopper.
