Tony is looking into pricing for leases from other companies. Action was tabled until next week. David Cote from the Road Advisory Committee was present and reported on the results of the committee’s research. He distributed packets of information to the selectmen and discussed the information with them. Information included a brief history of Canal Bridge prepared by Jack Kelly; copy of a deed from NH to Maine for the two parcels of land showing them bounded on the west by the center of the canal; Federal Sufficiency ratings with 60 as sufficient; MDOT report showing Canal Bridge with a sufficiency rate of 30.3 and Rowe Dam Bridge at 39.2; MDOT statement that State has responsibility for span at least 20 feet; MDOT report showing Canal Bridge structure at 20 and Rowe Dam Bridge at 22.On a motion by Jim, the policy was signed.

Cote concluded with the committee’s recommendation that the Selectmen set up a meeting with MDOT and our Road Commissioners to answer questions and decide where NH fits into the situation. Cote has both MDOT and NH contact numbers.
