SELECTMEN'S MEETING

FEBRUARY 26, 2009

1. SALUTE TO THE AMERICAN FLAG

2. APROVAL OF AGENDA: Approved as written.

3. APROVAL OF MINUTES OF LAST MEETING: Approved as written.

4. SIGNING WARRANTS: Approved and signed.

5  OLD BUSINESS:

(a) CABLE TV POLICY: On a motion by Mike, the policy was signed and adopted.  

6.  NEW BUSINESS:

(A) APPOINTMENT OF INTERIM TREASURER: On a motion by Tony, Cheri Smith was appointed Interim Treasurer for another month.

(B) APPOINTMENT OF 911 ADDRESSING OFFICER: On a motion by Mike, Bill Catanesye was appointed E-911 Addressing Officer.

Mike expressed his praise and appreciation to the two Road  Commissioners, their crews, and members of the Acton Fire Department and Rescue for their exceptional performance during the February 22 & 23 storm. The Town of Acton received 22+ inches of, at times, blinding snow and experienced loss of electrical power. However, Acton's roads were kept open and on numerous occasions, the crews stopped and helped people that had driven off the roads.
