TOWN OF ACTON

SELECTMEN’S MEETING

June 4th, 2009

1. APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Approved as written.
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF LAST MEETING:  Approved as written.
3. SIGNING THE WARRANT: Approved and signed.
4. OLD BUSINESS:

(a) CABLE COMMITTEE UPDATE: Committee will meet Saturday at 10 am. On a motion by Dennis, Brian Cochrane was appointed to the committee. A memo from selectmen asking all committee and board chairs to co-operate with the committee when they are filming meetings and events.

5. NEW BUSINESS:

(1). APPOINTMENT OF BALLOT CLERKS: On a motion by Dennis the following were appointed as ballot clerks to serve until June 30, 2010: Peg Anthony, Carl Litchfield, Marita Lowell, Maureen Doddrell, Tony Anthony, Anita Buttrick, Ann Germon, Patricia Mucciaccio, Richard Ham, Clarence Langley, Don Van Sinderen, Virginia Deboer, John Moore, Rick Grohocki, Charles Hefferon, Joseph LeClair.

(2)  TREASURER TO BE ON SCHOOL CHECKING ACCOUNT:  Selectmen feel the Town Treasurer should be on the document listing those authorized to sign checks on the school checking account. On a motion by Tony, it was voted to have Dennis Long take the document to the School Committee on Tuesday night to be signed by them.
